The Ellertson/Mortenson Cemetery was established in
Langhei, Pope County, Minnesota in 1870, when Lars
Ellertson buried his father, Eilert Carlson on Lars'
homestead.

Eilert Carlson was born 12 December 1812 in Tranoy,
Troms, Norway, died 3 May 1870. He married Ronnog
Olsdatter 23 September 1840 in Maalselv. Ronnog was
born 5 November 1815 in Solheim, and died 21 May 1861
in Djupvik, Lyngen, Troms, Norway. She is remembered
with a memorial bench at the cemetery.

Eilert and Ronnog had eight children; Iver died one day
after his birth. The children:
Anne Karin Eilertsdtr. (17 Nov. 1841 - 27 Feb. 1932) m. Ole
Mortenson (20 Feb.1828 - March, 1912). Both are buried in
the cemetery along with 3 of their children.

Lars Olai Ellertson (14 Dec. 1843-12 July 1912) never
married.

Carl Ellertson (11 Aug 1846-14 May 1929) m. Anne
Isakson (24 Dec. 1859-25 Nov.1897). Both are buried in
the cemetery with their daughter, Thea (1883-1893).

Edward Ellertson (4 June 1849-10 Aug.1934) m. Pauline
Larson (21 Jan.1854-2 July 1935). Both are buried in the
cemetery along with son Edwin (1893-1937), grandsons
Elmer (1922-1945) and Lloyd (1936).

Regina Maria Eilertsdtr. (27 Sept.1850-2 Aug.1934) m.
Christian Johnson (18 Nov. 1836-25 Aug.1924). They are
buried in Belgrade.

Dorthea Eilertsdtr (25 Aug. 1853-6 Aug. 1933) m. Andres
Satter (1841-1921). They are buried in Morris.

Marthe Eilertsdtr. (19 Oct 1860-22 May 1915) m. Emil Olof
Lind, a Swedish Publisher. Marthe died in Stockholm,
Sweden.
